What we do

Phorecast is a consulting firm that scouts and combines innovators and experts into multi-disciplinary teams focused on finding new markets, directions and ideas for your organization. We believe in the power of innovation and that sharing creative ideas is the key to good business.

Every organization’s road to the future is different, so are our teams. Other consulting firms can not always guarantee you their best consultants who may be tied up at that particular time. They also work in their specific fields so you will not get the broader range of innovators and experts that we offer. Phorecast’s unique business model ensures that you get teams of proven innovators from every discipline ready to innovate anytime.

At the end of a three day Phorecast session you can expect an easy to follow, step-by-step Innovation plan that is ready to implement through-out your organization.

  1. Dear Sir/Madam,

With my great affection for Phorecast and your unique body of work, I would like to express my interest in a position as an Industrial Designer. Four years of my experience in Industrial Design studies, including my thesis and freelance work, instilled in me a skillset as a tenacious Industrial Designer with a user-centric approach. That is why I believe that I can add value to your company, as well as take part in the pioneering work that Phorecast is well-known for.

I achieved my Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Gävle in Sweden, which has a strong focus on sustainability, problem-solving methodology, and creative thinking. I cut my teeth on developing a product concept, including manufacturing guidelines and market strategy for my thesis, which got extended to my freelance work. This experience has given me insights into multiple disciplines as well as substantial experience in working with diverse stakeholders.

After the freelance engagement, I spent a year at Umeå Institute of Design in Sweden, where I worked on a series of fast-paced projects of two to four weeks, collaborating with various companies in a multi-national environment. Not only I learned the importance of time management and communication within the team, but also I learned that it is most necessary to find a compromise between each stakeholder and to deliver the best concept within the given time frame.

My strength lies not only in the traditional industrial design skills such as 3D modelling and detail-oriented mindset but also the ability to lead projects and teams while always focusing on users from the first phase of the design process to the phase of concept delivery. I’m applying for a position as an Industrial Designer at Phorecast to get valuable opportunities to work and learn from a diverse team of cutting-edge designers while contributing with my ability to recognize and solve practical and intangible problems.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Alexander Yoo
